In 2005 he recognised the need for a radio service in Exmouth after carrying out a survey on more than 500 people.

David Tidball AkA (Tidders/Tids).  Born and bred in Devon. He worked within his fathers business from the age of four, and later on in his property company. He was schooled locally at Blundells school in Tiverton.
He has a degree in planning and attained a post-graduate Legal exemption and Law Society Finals with a view to returning to Exeter to continue his previous five years as a lawyer. During the long summer recess before his law finals he had an epiphany and started to make Tad. Along with three friends he opened his first surf shop in 1993 with £500 and a van load of boards and a home-made printing machine. He traded from three different locations in Exmouth, now he has two shops, with plans to expand. He also did what all thought was the impossible; he sold "surf" to the town of Exmouth.
He has sat on a few committees and helped to stop kite-surfing getting banned in Exmouth. He has also worked closely with the RNLI (to whom he owes his life to) and Coastguard to promote beach safety and awareness. He has always helped the youth to promote their music and their skating in town and finds he is uniquely placed to share the love of our creator with them.
My proudest achievements are my free gifts, my wife and three children.

Joy Whipps. I Have lived in Exmouth since 1990, when my husband Alan's job brought us down to Devon. I have been a Town Councillor since 2004 and I have the priviledge and honour of being Exmouth's Mayor since May 2007. I have 4 sons, 1 grandson and 2 step granddaughters. Alan and I have been married for 25 years this year. I work as a cover teacher for Exmouth Community College. My husband is a civil engineer. I think that Exmouth is the most beautiful place to live and I realise how lucky I am to be living here. I am a great believer in the Arts as I trained as a actress. I think Exmouth is fortunate enough to have several societies putting on plays and musicals for our entertainment, which I feel we should support in every way that we can. Likewise with our own unique radio station. This is something for the community to enjoy and call its own. I will do my best and give whatever support I can to ensure that BayFm becomes more than just a once a year event.
